Long Beach Opens Olympic Interest Forms for Local Businesses and Property Owners Ahead of 2028 Games
Long Beach, CA – The City of Long Beach is continuing its preparations for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games with the introduction of a new interest form for local businesses and private property owners. The form will connect property owners interested in renting out their space with Games stakeholders (e.g. National Olympic Committees (NOC), National Paralympic Committees (NPCs), marketing partners and more) interested in activating space in Long Beach for the 2028 Games.
“The 2028 Games are not only a historic moment for our region but are also a major economic opportunity for our city,” said Mayor Rex Richardson. “By connecting property owners and local businesses with interested Games stakeholders, we are ensuring that Long Beach’s unique spaces and entrepreneurial spirit are part of the 2028 Games experience, and are creating partnerships that will bring investment, visibility and benefits to our local community and economy.”
Local businesses and property owners are encouraged to submit the online interest form, available now. Interest form submissions will be placed into a database and shared with interested parties to help them identify and secure the right space that best fits their operational, logistical and cultural needs. Soon, the City will offer engagement opportunities for local businesses and property owners to inform them of this opportunity and other ways to get involved in the 2028 Games. More information about the interest form is available on the Get Involved tab at longbeach.gov/2028Games.
Due to its ease of mobility, proximity to Los Angeles and its significant Games footprint, Long Beach is being considered as a premier location for Games stakeholders to utilize during the 2028 Games for a myriad of team needs, offering unique opportunities for local businesses and property owners to get involved and drive additional economic activity and tourism in Long Beach. The addition of Team Houses, like the recently announced Hellenic Olympic House, and other NOC/NPC activations will uplift Long Beach’s already significant presence in the 2028 Games.
Hosted by the City of Los Angeles, the 2028 Olympic Games will take place July 14 through July 30, 2028, and the 2028 Paralympic Games will take place Aug. 15 through Aug. 27, 2028. Long Beach will serve as a 2028 Venue City set to stage the largest number of sporting events outside of the Host City of Los Angeles, staging 11 sporting events for the Olympic Games and seven for the Paralympic Games.
